The comedy of Old Radio

         Transistors, the so-called 'nick-name' of the Old Radios of the urban areas, are so-common and well-known for their instability and fluctuations in their signal. Any two or three stations of nearly the same frequency, will mostly have an overlap resulting in the jumbling of the programs. Here is what happened in a old radio where three programs; cricket commentary, cookery program and news got overlapped.

         "Today in Parliament, Kapil Dev bowled his 4th over and is washed in boiling water. An Atlantic Boeing 727 was hijacked at Cuba and went straight into the hands of Gavaskar who was chopped into small pieces."

         "Mr. Rajiv Gandhi visited Srikkanth, who is now going to break the eggs. The famous film star Shah Rukh Khan was caught by Ravi Shastri and sliced and soaked in dalda ghee. In his speech, Shri George Fernandes was his on his knee, which turned golden brown in 2 minutes."

        "We now end our bulletin by calling Bishan Singh Bedi to peel the eggs"...
